The Challenge

Event enthusiasts across Turkish cities had no dedicated mobile platform to discover concerts, theatre shows, sports events and festivals. Existing solutions were web-only or lacked the social features that help friends coordinate and attend events together.

Spekta.org had an established web community, but the absence of a native iOS app meant users were navigating a browser experience on mobile — a significant friction point for spontaneous event discovery and social interaction on the go.

Our Approach

We developed a native iOS app that brings the full Spekta.org experience to mobile with Apple Sign In for instant, password-free onboarding. Rather than rebuilding the backend, we extended the existing Spekta API with a dedicated mobile endpoint layer — letting the app connect seamlessly to the live platform from day one.

The design mirrors Spekta's dark, minimal visual identity with native iOS patterns — tab navigation, safe areas, keyboard avoidance — ensuring the app feels at home on any iPhone. expo-router provides file-based navigation that scales cleanly as features grow.

Spekta Mobile brings a seamless native iOS experience to Spekta.org's existing community, making it easier than ever to discover events and coordinate with friends — all with zero password friction thanks to Apple Sign In.

By connecting directly to the live Spekta backend through dedicated mobile APIs, the app launched with the full event catalogue and community from day one. No cold-start problem, no parallel data sync — everything users know from the web, now in their pocket.
